Oceanic
Ventures is one of the newest corporate sponsors of the Houston Zoo
and has taken a special interest in the Sea Lions and their trainers.
The Company has donated new wetsuits, dive boots and other equipment
to the trainers as well as Open Water diver training and Continuing
Education courses. According to Ann Keibler, "we are very
excited about our new partnership with the Houston Zoo and the Sea
Lion Exhibit. We look forward to helping them fill their equipment
and educational needs as well as assisting the Houston Zoo in their
development of new Zoo programs. I was inspired by Jackie Haslings',
a new trainer at the Houston Zoo, enthusiasm and desire to bring new
programs and experiences to the public and increase the awareness of
the oceans through more interaction with their Sea Lions, Roscoe and
Omega. Children can become inspired to protect the oceans around the
world when they have a chance in their own backyard to make a new
friend like the playful Roscoe or the shy Omega. Jackie and her
co-workers are making that happen every day."

Insurance
Oceanic Ventures has identified two excellent insurance programs for divers. DIVEASSURED is a diver assistance program, similar to DAN but with better coverage and more features. The second program is TravelGuard, which is a trip insurance program. To find out about these fine programs contact the staff at Oceanic Ventures.
